The intent of this process is to staff a position on a indeterminate basis at the Police Dog Service Training Centre in Innisfail, Alberta, and create a pool of qualified candidates. The pool of qualified candidates may be used to staff similar positions with various tenures (i.e. indeterminate, term, deployment, acting, assignment and secondment) within the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.

Should a Civilian Member (CM) be found qualified and selected for appointment, the appointment will not result in a change of status to the Public Service (PS) category for the CM. • Experience providing administrative support services.*
*Administrative Support Services can include: Maintaining administrative files, Tracking expense claims, Tracking action plans, Following-up on file diary dates, Data entry and tracking, Preparing summary reports or statistics
• Experience communicating with clients to support a project or activity.
• Experience providing financial support services.**
**Financial Support Services can include: Identifying cost effective spending options for equipment and or services; Provide input for expenditure forecasting; Reviewing, monitoring and entering expenses; etc.
• Experience using a database.

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Willingness and ability to lift and carry for short distances up to 80bs.
• Willingness and ability to travel for work and/or training purposes using various modes of transportation (including owned or leased government transport).
• Willingness and ability to work outside of normal working hours.
• Willingness and ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license.
• RCMP Enhanced Reliability Status (ERS) security clearance.
Those selected must meet and maintain the above condition of employment throughout their employment.
The process requires a Security/Reliability Interview, a field investigation in matters of credit/finances, education, employment, references, etc.

Candidates will be asked to provide proof of Canadian citizenship or permanent residency.
Preference will be given to veterans first and then to Canadian citizens and permanent residents, with the exception of a job located in Nunavut, where Nunavut Inuit will be appointed first.
