Job Summary:

The City of Toronto, within the Parks, Forestry & Recreation Division (PFR), in the Business & Technology Transformation Section, leads large-scale information technology PFR projects as they move from concept to implementation to sustainment.
Reporting to the Manager, Information Services, the Senior Business & Systems Analyst will play a key role in the Sustainment of the implemented Registration and Booking Transformation Project.
The successful candidate will work with stakeholders to ensure that the system's full capabilities are utilized in an effective and efficient manner. The role requires technical experience in working with cloud-based systems and will require that the successful candidate becomes PFR's expert in the system's configuration options, data handling capabilities, and is fully versed in the product development components that are specific to the City of Toronto's implementation.

Key Qualifications:
Post-secondary education in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent education and experience.
Experience administering virtualized and/or cloud-based platforms.
Experience managing information technology software or system implementation projects.
Considerable experience in business process development and documentation.
Certifications related to servers (such as Microsoft AZ800), networking (such as CCNA), information security or systems administration are considered an asset.
Highly innovative and motivated by new challenges.
Excellent relationship building and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to learn a new system without guidance, by exploring and reading documentation.
Ability to develop deep technical knowledge of a new system by analyzing business functional processes that fit into a system's capabilities, technical diagrams and flow charts, and learning on a test environment.
Solid understanding of PCI-DSS, and payment gateways.
Solid understanding of Federated Identity Management, Active Directory, and Single Sign-On technologies such as SAML, OAuth2, OIDC, or Kerberos.
Solid understanding of load balancers, firewalls, virtualization technology, and cloud service provider models.
Solid understanding of AODA compliance, UX design, UI design.
Working knowledge of, and ability to make use of, APIs, sFTP, data extraction and data loading.
Familiarity with SQL commands, database structures and frameworks.
Ability to work in an agile project methodology environment, with the ability to take leadership in sprints or daily scrums on specific areas of expertise.
Ability to forge effective partnerships with various stakeholders.
Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical audiences in written and oral formats.
Ability to elicit, drive and/or develop solution requirements to ensure that business needs and requirements have been adequately defined and documented, and/or the root cause of the problem accurately stated.
Knowledge of current and emerging technologies, and skills to evaluate and recommend new technology for introduction into a complex technical environment.
