Reporting to the SAP Solution, Planning & Delivery Manager, the Senior Systems Integrator Technology Services (SuccessFactors/HCM Supervisor) will provide technical development leadership to the City's SuccessFactors/HCM Team. This role is critical to drive both the technical and strategic direction for the current SuccessFactors and SAP ECC HCM applications as well as the expanding technology footprint which includes SAP S/4HANA and Cloud Integration in both project and operations. In conjunction with the advancing and driving next-generation SAP technologies necessary for supporting and delivering the SAP operations and project services, the Senior Systems Integrator Technology Services (SuccessFactors/HCM Supervisor) will work closely with business clients and stakeholders.
Major Responsibilities:
Specifically, you will provide leadership in the areas of:
Team Management and Supervision:
- Supervises, motivates and trains assigned staff, ensuring effective teamwork, high standards of work quality and organizational performance, continuous learning and encourages innovation in others.
- Supervises the day-to-day operation of all assigned staff including the scheduling, assigning, and reviewing of work. Authorizes and co-ordinates vacation and overtime requests. Monitors and evaluates staff performance, approves salary increments, hears grievances, and recommends disciplinary action when necessary.
Technology and Strategy:
- Leads, facilitates, and contributes to the design, creation, development, sustainment, and day-to-day operations of corporate standards for the division, including formalized project management and methodology, data warehousing architecture, data modeling, metadata, change management, and application development and migration.
- Provides assessments and recommendations of new technology trends on the effective use, acquisition, and integration of technology by the City.
- Identifies and analyzes current business processes and practices in the context of evolving information architecture and performance measures; recommends overall technical solutions for business initiatives and leverage existing enterprise infrastructure investments.
- Assesses and recommends scalable multi-jurisdictional business and technical solutions that meet client and business requirements in the context of corporate standards, policies and procedures for information technologies and architectures. This includes determining requirements, conducting research and evaluations, and obtaining all approvals and signoffs.
- Informs and educates senior managers, business users and technology peers on technology trends, and the effective use of business and technology solutions and information management.
- Identifies and develops divisional/cross-divisional initiatives to produce synergies and economies of scale.
Project Management:
- Implements detailed plans and recommends policies/procedures regarding program-specific requirements.
- Provides input into assigned budget, ensuring that expenditures are controlled and maintained within approved budget limitations.
- Responsible to senior management within the division, business, and technical stakeholders for all aspects of assigned projects, including the project charter, project plan and schedule, progress, budget, risk management, issue management, change management, resource management, quality review/best practices.
- Provides leadership in the evaluation, selection and recommendation of technical solutions and professional services; manages vendors and contractors in the overall solution delivery process.
- Negotiates with senior management, clients, and various stakeholders often with competing and conflicting goals, objectives, and priorities.
Key Qualifications:
Your application for the role of Senior Systems Integrator Technology Services (SuccessFactors/HCM Supervisor) should describe your qualifications as they relate to:
- Post-secondary degree/diploma in computer science, or human resources or any other related disciplines, paired with considerable experience in Human Capital Management software support/implementation.
- SAP Certified Associate – SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Core or SAP Certified Professional Application Consultant for SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central. Additional module certifications are assets.
- Experience in gathering requirements, configuring the SuccessFactors instances, testing, deploying, and maintaining the configuration.
- Experience in SAP ECC HCM Modules (Payroll, Time Management, etc.) configuration.
- Experience in gathering requirements, configuring the SuccessFactors instances, testing, deploying, and maintaining the configuration.
- Experience supervising staff, assigning work, monitoring performance, and motivating teams in a matrix-based work environment.
- Knowledge of payroll processes, compliance, and data security measures is essential.
- Able to communicate in writing and verbally with a large audience. Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain an effective consulting relationship with corporate clients and vendors with a strong customer service orientation.
- Understanding of integration points between SuccessFactors modules and SAP ECC HCM, particularly with Payroll. Ability to oversee data flow and ensure seamless integration between systems.
- Experience in SAP Enterprise Portal Administration, specially in ESS/MSS portlets is an asset.
