Job Skills / Requirements

The Organizational Development Specialist is a key position within the People & Culture Team that partners with stakeholders to enhance effectiveness across a number of organizational areas including: performance management, talent development, employee engagement, salary administration and Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEIB).

Reporting to the Senior Director People & Culture, this role blends strategic awareness with the hands-on practical administration of people practices within the above areas. Key to success in this position is the ability to design and execute on initiatives, in consultation with internal stakeholders, to ensure people practices are equitable, data-informed, and aligned with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate annual performance management and salary administration activities.
  • Partner with the Operations and People & Culture teams to identify talent development needs and create content for implementation that fulfills those needs.
  • Champion the employe experience throughout the employee life cycle, ensuring an engaging experience from the time an employee onboards.
  • Support Federal Employment Equity and Pay Equity requirements; including annual reporting and action planning.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop actionable DEIB initiatives that contribute to the overall DEIB strategy.
  • Support employee engagement and coordinate employee recognition activities.
  • Designing engaging learning content, curriculum and communications.
  • Contribute to, and support, the organization’s internal communications strategy.
  • Assist with special projects when required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Organizational Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience in organization development, HR, compensation, or a related analytical HR role.
  • Experience supporting salary administration and performance management initiatives.
  • Demonstrated understanding of DEIB principles and their application to organizational and people practices.
  • Strong analytical skills, including experience working with HR data and spreadsheets.
  • Exceptional skill in stakeholder engagement, facilitation and interpersonal communication.
  • Able to effectively work independently and proactively address emerging needs while remaining organized and prioritizing effectively.
  • Highly proficient in using MS Office Suite; as well graphic design software to create engaging content.
  • Demonstrated ability to innovate, coupled with effective problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • An affinity for presenting information in a visually engaging manner while incorporating skill in graphic design is strongly preferred.
  • Able to obtain a Transportation Security Clearance (TSC) and meet federal security requirements.

Salary: $70,000-$75,000

This position will be fully office-based, in our Vancouver airport location.
