Description

Join Amazon Community Impact (ACI) at the forefront of disaster response — where logistics expertise meets humanitarian purpose. When disaster strikes, Amazon's Disaster Relief team applies the same capabilities that deliver millions of packages daily to get critical aid where it's needed within hours.

We operate 15 disaster relief hubs globally, stocked with emergency supplies including blankets, medical devices, and tarps. Working alongside local organisations and first responders, we leverage Amazon's core strengths in logistics, technology, and innovation to support communities in crisis. Since 2017, we've donated and delivered more than 26 million relief items across 200+ disasters worldwide.

This is a newly created role responsible for managing disaster relief operations across the APAC region. We're looking for a passionate and innovative Senior Program Manager to lead Amazon's Disaster Relief Program, supporting assets and programs across India, Japan, and Australia.

Beyond joining one of the world's most customer-centric companies, you'll enjoy a range of benefits that make Amazon a great place to work:

- Dogs at Work: our popular program proven to lower stress and boost morale, running successfully across our Australian corporate offices
- Commuter benefits, helping you save on the cost of your daily commute
- Subsidised health insurance for you and your dependents, on top of salary continuance (income protection) and life insurance
- Inclusive culture: Amazon celebrates diversity of background, experience, and thought as a key driver of innovation and our mission to be the most customer-centric company in the world

This position requires full-time in-office presence 5 days per week at our CBD location.

Key job responsibilities
• Develop and execue relief item strategies including procurement, inventory planning, kit assembly, packaging, and hub pre-positioning across APAC
• Act as Incident Manager when disasters occur — coordinating end-to-end logistics and supply chain to deliver relief materials quickly
• Partner with NGOs and organisations such as the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, treating them as key customers
• Lead and coordinate disaster relief efforts across India, Japan, Australia, and broader APAC, adapting global strategies for regional markets
• Influence global hub strategy using regional data and operational experience, and drive process improvements across all offerings
• Support donation approval processes and manage stakeholder relationships across internal teams and external partners
• Build channels for customers and employees to participate in relief efforts
