The Rapid and Rural Logistics (R2L) Data Engineering & Infrastructure team is seeking a motivated Data Engineer to help develop and maintain data pipelines that support business analytics, contribute to tooling that enables orchestration, and assist in building automation that optimizes our infrastructure. We look for candidates who are curious, collaborative, eager to learn, and who thrive in a fast-paced environment.

We are looking for someone with experience or familiarity with AWS technologies such as Redshift, S3, AWS Glue, and EMR. Exposure to streaming services (Kinesis, Firehose), Lambda, or generative AI tools (e.g., Bedrock) is a plus but not required. You should be comfortable writing code, working within established standards, and contributing to team projects with guidance from senior engineers.




Key job responsibilities
Main responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:
- Support and maintain existing database infrastructure and data pipelines
- Write and improve automation scripts and data processing workflows
- Translate functional and business requirements into technical implementations with guidance from senior team members
- Assist in analyzing source data systems and documenting data lineage
- Participate in all phases of the development life cycle — design, implementation, testing, delivery, documentation, and maintenance
- Contribute to proof-of-concept pilots leveraging generative AI technologies
- Help build and maintain AI-enabled knowledge management tools and frameworks
- Collaborate with team members and cross-functional partners, sharing learnings and staying current with industry developments
