Amazon's Global Procurement Organization (GPO) is looking for a Social Responsibility Risk Manager to join the Social Responsibility Strategy & Central Operations team within the Global Procurement Sustainability (GPS) organization. In this role, you will own the development, optimization, and continuous improvement of processes and frameworks that enable effective social responsibility (SR) risk management across Amazon's global supplier network. You will drive process excellence by designing and implementing scalable standard operating procedures, governance structures, and operational workflows that protect the fundamental dignity of workers and uphold human rights standards. This role requires a process-oriented program manager who combines strong analytical skills with a hands-on approach to building, measuring, and improving operational mechanisms. You must be a self-starter with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously, communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
Key job responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end design, documentation, and continuous improvement of SR operational processes including SOPs, RACI frameworks, change management workflows, and governance structures to drive consistency and scalability across GPS programs
- Lead process optimization initiatives by identifying inefficiencies, establishing data-driven baselines, and implementing measurable improvements across SR risk management operations such as vendor selection, audit coordination, and remediation tracking
- Develop and maintain SR process repositories, knowledge management tools, and centralized documentation to improve team visibility, access, and operational readiness across regional teams
- Drive stakeholder alignment and coordination across diverse internal teams and external partners by establishing structured communication cadences, escalation protocols, and cross-functional governance mechanisms
- Lead complex, multi-stakeholder projects from planning through execution, including vendor selection programs, supplier adoption strategies, and process framework development, with clear milestones, risk mitigation plans, and delivery commitments
- Build and maintain relationships with external suppliers, audit partners, and sustainability platforms, as well as internal stakeholders across GPO, to advance SR goals and ensure program alignment
