We have setup a B2B only 1P seller entity (Amazon Wholesale India Pvt Ltd - AWIPL) to service the requirements of large enterprise customers. As a Senior Manager, vendor Management , you will be responsible for bringing the Amazon experience to business customers. This leader will play a critical role as a general manager and people leader in building the portfolio and strategy for building the right B2B supplies. In this role you will be regularly working with senior management including C-level executives from numerous vendors, partners, and internal teams. This position is responsible for managing and developing a team focused on expanding selection, business growth, building vendor relationships, negotiating contracts and pricing, developing promotions, and monitoring and reacting to industry and competitive trends.
The role involves dealing with high levels of ambiguity, deep problem solving abilities that enable us to build a supply of most relevant B2B selection at a competitive price and fulfil via most optimal fulfilment channel. You must be a strong negotiator and be passionate about bringing the best selection, negotiating the best pricing and getting the best of Amazon's product tools to help your business customer.
Key job responsibilities
• Managing a full P&L, including planning, forecasting and driving growth for the AWIPL business, possessing a complete understanding of internal and external variables that impact the business and its P&L.
• Execute a strategic business development plan while working with key internal stakeholders (e.g., operations, marketing legal, tech).
• Develop and lead a multi-functional team of Vendor Managers and Program Manager
• Lead day-to-day operational aspects of the business, including gathering and addressing customer and vendor feedback, price management, and business improvement initiatives.
• Setting goals and strategic direction for the business, ensuring alignment with broader business goals and vision.
• Representing Amazon when meeting with senior executive teams from top vendors and building long term strategic relationships.
• Generating and implementing big ideas to drive business improvements, innovation, and scale within the category and across the Retail business.
