As a Financial Services Industry Solutions Architect at Amazon Web Services, you'll be at the intersection of cutting-edge technology and complex compliance requirements, helping banks, insurance companies, and capital markets firms unlock the power of cloud computing and generative artificial intelligence.

This role combines deep technical architecture expertise with financial services regulatory knowledge, enabling you to design solutions that satisfy stringent compliance requirements while leveraging the latest innovations in generative artificial intelligence and cloud-native technologies. You'll become a trusted advisor to executive and technical teams at leading financial institutions, driving their cloud adoption journey from initial workloads through comprehensive digital transformation.

Key job responsibilities
- Design and architect end-to-end cloud solutions for financial services customers that meet complex regulatory requirements including SOX, PCI-DSS, and industry-specific compliance frameworks
- Serve as a trusted technical advisor to financial services customer executives and technical teams, building lasting relationships that drive cloud strategy and architecture decisions
- Lead technical solution discussions and whiteboarding sessions, diving deep into architectural details, best practices, and use cases with customer teams
- Drive customer adoption of generative artificial intelligence and agentic artificial intelligence solutions while navigating complex security and compliance considerations specific to regulated industries
- Translate customer feedback into actionable requirements for AWS product and engineering teams, influencing roadmap development based on financial services industry needs

A day in the life
Your day is highly dynamic and self-directed. You might start with internal planning meetings reviewing customer architectures, then lead an architecture design session with a bank's technical team, build proof-of-concept solutions for pressing compliance challenges, run office hours for technical questions and answers, collaborate with account teams on strategy, and document recommendations. You'll carve out time to stay current on new AWS services and features, particularly in generative artificial intelligence and emerging technologies. Essentially, you're part advisor, part builder, part strategist — no two days are identical, and you own your priorities. This position requires approximately 25-30% travel to customer sites

The Financial Services Industry Solutions Architect team combines deep financial services industry knowledge with technical expertise to help regulated institutions innovate on AWS. We work collaboratively across banking, insurance, and capital markets customers, enabling digital transformation, generative artificial intelligence adoption, and cloud modernization while navigating complex compliance and security requirements.
