Have you ever ordered a product on Amazon and wondered how it got delivered to you so fast, and what kinds of systems & processes are running behind the scenes to power the whole operation?
The Senior Product Manager, Placement & Speed will be responsible for developing new ways to get products as close as possible to our customers to enable fast delivery speeds. You will work with stakeholders across FBA, Operations and Delivery Experience to design the technical and fulfillment network solutions which enable this and turn those solutions into a product roadmap.
You will have a holistic view of supply and demand within the Amazon fulfillment network and be an integral part in creating and implementing large scale strategic initiatives in seller inventory inbounding and placement, delivery speed and fulfillment – all with the goal of better serving our customers. There will rarely be a perfect solution, so it will be up to you to make data driven decisions and manage stakeholder relationships while planning and executing within an ever-changing environment.
The ideal candidate has business acumen into the e-commerce business, experience in designing product roadmaps, excellent analytical abilities, superior communication skills, and the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders. She/he will be a self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity and able to think big while paying careful attention to detail.
Key job responsibilities
- End-to-end ownership of the placement and speed product strategy and roadmap, taking product solutions from the ideation stage through to launch and execution.
- Collaborate extensively with global and Japan business, technical, and operations teams to define, prioritize, and deliver new FBA features and services.
- Own key placement and speed metrics, ensuring timely reporting and developing insights about their evolution, as well as using advanced analytics to suggest new metrics.
- Analyze data and seller feedback to measure initiative effectiveness and guide decision-making.
- Manage prioritization and trade-offs between seller and customer needs and operational feasibility to drive speed improvement.
