About the team
The WW FBA Product & Tech Finance team is a specialized Finance team embedded within the SPS Finance (WW Stores Finance) organization. We provide critical financial support for key technology and product initiatives across FBA, focusing on streamlining the SPS Cost-to-Serve Monthly Business Review (MBR) process and developing data-driven insights that connect FBA operational inputs to financial outcomes. We serve as the financial bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders, translating complex technical investments into clear financial narratives that drive strategic decision-making. In close partnership with Product and Tech teams, we ensure financial accountability, optimize resource allocation, and identify operational efficiency opportunities.
Our vision is to be the trusted financial partners that enable data-driven decision-making across FBA organizations. We strive to develop innovative financial models and insights that illuminate the relationship between operational metrics and financial performance, empowering leadership with actionable financial intelligence that drives profitable growth and operational excellence. We aim to simplify complex financial processes, improve visibility into cost structures, and help scale the FBA business efficiently. Through our work, we establish best practices for technology finance that scale across Amazon. We also develop finance talent with deep technical expertise and business acumen.
The Defect Prevention and Reconciliation (DP&R) organization builds innovative technical products that recognize, reconcile, and prevent exceptions within Amazon's fulfillment supply chain. We are building a future where we capture, analyze, and explain every inventory defect across all stages of the supply chain (inbound, distribution, storage, fulfillment, returns).
Our vision is to build an intuitive, accurate, and automated inventory management experience for Sellers when their inventory encounters defects during the fulfillment process. We own and regularly review policies that are well-understood by Sellers. We build products that capture high-confidence signals from our fulfillment network in real time, then surface and coach every Seller and Amazon supply chain defect within 24 hours. We create processes that Sellers trust, making them whole when Amazon is at fault. We drive accountability with our Sellers and partner teams, reducing upstream defects, driving cost out of the overall Supply Chain, and empowering Sellers to grow and improve their business. Finally, we build a closed-loop Defect Recovery system to both maximize recovery after an Amazon defect and to move both reimbursed and stagnant inventory out of our fulfillment network quickly.
