Description

Are you a product manager who wants to apply AI to transform how utilities plan the electric grid? The AWS Energy & Utilities AI Products team is using AI to reimagine grid planning and interconnection study processes for the global utility industry. We are looking for a Senior Product Manager who can bridge domain expertise in power systems or energy technology with product strategy to own an AI product area from customer discovery through launch.

In this role, you will partner with utility customers and integration partners to define AI product requirements, work with engineering leads on scope and delivery trade-offs, and drive go-to-market planning. This is a small, collaborative team where you will own a meaningful part of the AI product from day one.

Key job responsibilities
- Own product requirements and roadmap, from customer discovery through launch
- Partner with utility customers (transmission and distribution planning teams) to understand their workflows and translate them into prioritized engineering specifications
- Collaborate with engineering leads on trade-offs in scope, architecture, and delivery timelines
- Drive integration requirements with independent software vendor partners
- Lead go-to-market planning including pricing, positioning, customer onboarding, and sales enablement

A day in the life
Your time splits between conversations with utility planners and integration partners, roadmap and requirements work with engineering leads, and cross-functional planning with sales and senior leadership. One day you may be deep in the mechanics of power flow analysis; the next you may be working on pricing strategy for a new module. This is a small, collaborative team where you will own a meaningful part of the product from day one.
