Description

As AI agents become the primary interface for advertisers and partners on Amazon Ads, we are building agent-native identity and authorization infrastructure that treats AI agents as first-class participants.

We believe every agent should have a unique identity, authenticate through purpose-built flows, receive only the permissions its declared purpose requires, and produce a complete audit trail of every action it takes.

We're looking for a Senior Product Manager – Technical (PMT) to define and drive the product strategy for Agent Identity and Authorization Infrastructure within Amazon Ads. You will own the roadmap for how 5,000+ partners and 2M+ advertisers grant, scope, and govern AI agent access to their advertising accounts — spanning agent registry, authentication, capability-scoped authorization, advertiser-facing controls, and auditability. This is a greenfield opportunity to define the trust layer for agentic commerce at Amazon scale.

Key job responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end product vision and roadmap for agent identity, authentication, and authorization — from 1P agent registry through 3P developer SDK and advertiser-facing access controls
- Define product requirements for capability-scoped authorization models that go beyond tool-level access to intent-bound, time-bound, and data-bound delegation
- Drive cross-functional alignment across 10+ engineering teams, API platform, security, and partner-facing organizations to deliver integrated agent trust infrastructure
- Author PRFAQs, BRDs, and technical specifications for new authorization primitives (agent-to-agent delegation, programmable delegation tokens, spend controls, circuit breakers)
- Define and track success metrics including agent adoption, authorization accuracy, advertiser control adoption, and developer onboarding time
- Represent advertiser and partner needs in executive-level prioritization, translating complex authorization concepts into clear customer value propositions
- Partner with engineering to make build/buy/integrate decisions on authentication protocols (M2M auth, short-lived tokens, OAuth extensions for agents)
- Drive beta programs with external partners (agencies, integrators) to validate product-market fit before scaled rollout

A day in the life
You'll start your day reviewing agent adoption metrics and authorization error rates across 1P and 3P surfaces. You might spend the morning in a design review with engineers debating whether capability-scoped permissions should be enforced at the gateway or service layer. After lunch, you're leading a working session with a large agency partner (like PacVue or Teikametrics) to understand how they want to register and manage multiple specialized agents under their application. In the afternoon, you're writing the product spec for the advertiser-facing Agent Access UI — where advertisers see every authorized agent, scope what each can do, and revoke access instantly. You close the day aligning with your VP on the 3P agent sandbox launch timeline for unBoxed.

Your internal stakeholders include engineering (Identity, Authorization, Data, and Access Experience teams), the Ads Agent Orchestrator team, Developer Experience (DX), and Partner Enablement. Your customers are advertisers who need control over AI agents accessing their accounts, partners building agentic integrations, and internal 1P agent teams shipping skills on the Ads Agent platform.

About the team
The Ads Agent Identity and Authorization Infrastructure (AI²) team owns identity and access management for Amazon Ads — for both humans and AI agents. We manage registration, account management, permission controls, and ad-product eligibility that serve as gateways to Amazon Ads, impacting 5K+ partners and 2M+ advertisers globally with 800K+ registrations per year and 5M+ active users.

We are a team of builders who ship at high velocity — we launched agent registry and agent authorization for 1P agents in Q1 2026, and are now extending to 3P. We value customer obsession (advertisers must trust the agents acting on their behalf), ownership (you own the product end-to-end from vision through metrics), and bias for action (we ship iteratively with real partners, not in isolation). We are based in New York (JFK19).
