Description

Are you passionate about the technology that powers how hundreds of millions of customers experience entertainment? Do you thrive in fast-paced, deeply technical environments where teams are inventing the future of video streaming — from live sports to on-demand movies — across every device on the planet?

Prime Video Experience Technology (PVXT) is on a mission to build and operate the most innovative video streaming technology in the world. This global organization sets new benchmarks on the quality, performance, and reliability of video streaming across both established and emerging markets. The teams within PVXT deliver the best customer-centric streaming experience for Video on Demand and Live content across all devices, supporting subscription, transactional, and ad-supported business models. They invent technologies that deliver a flawless, engaging streaming experience using the fewest bits possible — spanning encoding and video players, global app experiences across mobile, web, and living room devices, live playback, ultra-low latency streaming, resilience engineering, and video delivery at massive scale.

We are seeking a Senior HR Business Partner (HRBP) to partner with leaders across this high-impact, innovation-driven technology organization. The HR leader in this role will work closely with senior Tech leaders to shape and execute people strategies that directly enable the org's ambitious vision to be the most streamed video product in the world.
Why PVXT?

This is a rare opportunity to support an organization that is literally inventing the future of how the world watches entertainment. The technology built here powers every stream, every live event, and every customer interaction on Prime Video — and the team is committed to doing it in a work environment that is supportive, diverse, inspiring, and inclusive.
If you get energized by a deep partnership with business leaders to drive high-impact HR strategies in one of Amazon's most technically ambitious organizations, this is the role for you!

Key job responsibilities
This is both a strategic and hands-on role that includes improving organizational effectiveness and design, leading change management, providing leadership coaching, and driving HR functional excellence. Successful candidates will also demonstrate:
• Genuine curiosity and the ability to interpret business goals across complex, diverse technology teams — and recommend new approaches to talent acquisition, development, retention, and recognition.
• A true hands-on approach and willingness to go to the "frontline" to deeply understand our employees, our technology, and our customers.
• Creative problem solving that works backwards from the end customer and the business client — influencing with data to drive people initiatives that lead to measurable business impact.
• Coaching and mentoring at all management levels, helping leaders maximize their effectiveness and build high-performing, inclusive teams.
• Success in driving organizational health and efficiency, including workforce planning, org design, talent placement, and succession planning across a globally distributed tech organization.
• Driving and innovating improvements to Tech talent processes — including promotion, calibration, and talent review mechanisms.
• Building and retaining a diverse, world-class Tech workforce at all levels, from individual contributors to senior engineering leaders.
• The ability to think big while also not being afraid to "roll up your sleeves" — managing multiple priorities simultaneously while continually moving initiatives forward.
• An enthusiastic team player with a strong drive to create meaningful, trust-based client relationships and the ability to interface at executive levels of the organization.
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to thrive in a multi-functional, fast-evolving environment.
Prior experience partnering with Tech teams is desired but not essential — curiosity, learning agility, and a bias for action matter most.
