Ring is seeking a highly motivated and business-minded Business Manager to join the Contract Manufacturer Business Management team. This individual contributor role will own day-to-day business management execution for a dedicated Contract Manufacturer and serve as a key interface between Ring and the CM across NPI, launch, and sustaining programs.
This role is critical to driving supplier execution, commercial alignment, cost management, operational readiness, and cross-functional coordination. The Business Manager will partner closely with Product, Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, Quality, Operations, and CM stakeholders to ensure manufacturing plans are executed with the right cost structure, business terms, capacity readiness, and delivery discipline.
The ideal candidate has strong experience in consumer electronics, supplier management, contract manufacturing, cost analysis, and cross-functional program execution. This person should be comfortable working through ambiguity, managing detailed business operations, and escalating risks with clear recommendations. They should bring strong ownership, structured thinking, analytical capability, and the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders through data, business judgment, and clear communication.
Key job responsibilities
Contract Manufacturer Business Ownership
- Own day-to-day business management execution for a dedicated Contract Manufacturer, serving as the primary business interface between Ring and the CM.
- Manage CM business operations across NPI, launch, and sustaining programs, ensuring alignment on cost, schedule, capacity, commercial terms, and execution readiness.
- Build strong working relationships with CM counterparts to drive accountability, transparency, and timely issue resolution.
- Support the CM Business Team Manager in executing broader CM strategy, supplier governance, and portfolio-level business priorities.
NPI and Sustaining Program Execution
- Partner with Product, Engineering, TPM, Supply Chain, Finance, Quality, and Operations teams to support program execution from concept through launch and sustaining production.
- Drive CM readiness tracking, business milestone alignment, RFQ execution, cost reviews, capacity planning, and launch support.
- Identify execution gaps, business risks, and decision blockers early, and provide clear escalation paths with recommended actions.
- Ensure CM commitments are clearly documented, tracked, and delivered against agreed timelines.
Cost, Commercial, and Contract Management
- Support commercial negotiations with the CM, including cost, payment terms, business terms, tooling, NRE, capacity, and other manufacturing-related agreements.
- Analyze CM quotations, cost breakdowns, MVA, tooling, E&F, and other commercial inputs to identify gaps, opportunities, and negotiation levers.
- Drive cost reduction initiatives, cost benchmarking, and supplier accountability to support Ring’s cost competitiveness.
- Partner with Finance and cross-functional teams to validate business cases, cost assumptions, and financial impact.
Supplier Performance and Risk Management
- Monitor CM performance across cost, quality, delivery, responsiveness, execution discipline, and overall business partnership.
- Track risks related to manufacturing readiness, capacity, material availability, business terms, regional footprint, and launch execution.
- Work with internal teams and CM partners to define mitigation plans and drive follow-through.
- Support regular supplier performance reviews, business reviews, and operating mechanisms.
Cross-Functional Communication and Influence
- Prepare clear business updates, decision summaries, RFQ analysis, cost review materials, and escalation documents for leadership review.
- Translate complex program, cost, and supplier issues into structured recommendations and actionable next steps.
- Influence internal stakeholders and CM partners through data-driven insights, strong business logic, and practical execution plans.
- Maintain strong communication rhythm across global teams to ensure alignment and timely decision-making.
Process Improvement and Operational Discipline
- Identify opportunities to improve CM management mechanisms, reporting, cost tracking, risk visibility, and decision-making processes.
- Maintain accurate documentation of CM agreements/SoW, business decisions, cost assumptions, and action items.
- Adopt scalable tools, dashboards, and working mechanisms to improve operational efficiency and transparency.
- Contribute to continuous improvement across the broader Business Management function.

The Supply Chain and Operations team plays a critical role in bringing this mission to life by supporting the business from product concept and development through NPI, launch, and sustaining operations.
Within this organization, the Business Management team serves as the key business interface between Ring/Blink and our global manufacturing partners. The team works closely with Product, Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, Quality, Operations, and Contract Manufacturers to ensure the right manufacturing strategy, cost structure, supplier partnerships, and execution plans are in place to support Ring’s product roadmap.
In this role, you will own the business execution for a dedicated CM and help solve practical, complex supply chain and manufacturing business challenges. You will work closely with teammates and cross-functional partners across regions to ensure Ring and Blink products can be launched and scaled with speed, quality, cost competitiveness, and operational discipline.
This is a fast-moving and highly cross-functional team where ownership, structured thinking, attention to detail, and strong stakeholder management are essential.
