A day in the life
As a member of the avionics team you will develop low-level flight software that runs on our avionics hardware. You will write specifications, design documents, embedded software, and tests. You will work closely with hardware engineers to best integrate with the Leo hardware platform, and controls engineers who own the business logic for various flight functions. You are a member of a lean team, and are responsible for designing and developing highly reliable platform software to enable the success of our mission.
About the team
The Leo Avionics team is responsible for delivering the avionics devices that fly our satellite (flight computers, power processing devices, and several sensors and actuators). We own hardware specification and design through to on-orbit flight performance, collaborating with many partner teams along the way. We are primarily responsible for delivering the avionics devices, and partner with many other cross-functional teams along the way.
