A Radiation Effects Test Engineer will be responsible for supporting all aspects of radiation testing. This includes, working with design and radiation effects engineers to write test plans, develop hardware and test scripts for test targets and equipment, dry-run test hardware, and travel to test facilities to conduct testing. The candidate will work closely with radiation effects engineers in reviewing post-test data, creating documentation, developing tools to increase access to data, and working with hardware designers to develop mitigation strategies.
Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Key job responsibilities
• Work with design and radiation engineers to develop radiation test plans on electronic components
• Coordinate with internal teams and 3rd party vendors and laboratories to prepare components for radiation test
• Conduct radiation testing on electronic components and satellite hardware at heavy ion, proton, and gamma irradiation facilities.
