We are looking for a good fit to join our Transportation Long Term Capacity Planning Team, part of the larger Supply Chain Team. This team plays a crucial role in strategically planning and executing Amazon's Transportation network topology over a 1-3 year horizon. As a Business Analyst, you will be at the forefront of uniting cross-functional teams to evolve our network, continuously optimizing for cost, speed, and reliability while maintaining a strong customer focus.
In this role, you will be responsible for supporting with data and developing tools for capacity solutions that address both current and future demands, ensuring business continuity even through peak periods. Your work will directly contribute to our long-term strategy programs, preparing Amazon's logistics network for sustained growth while striking the delicate balance between delivery speed, operational efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
You will leverage your expertise in supporting for long-term forecasting and capacity planning to make data-driven decisions that shape the future of our Middle Mile operations. This position requires a strategic mindset, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams across the organization. Your insights and recommendations will be instrumental in guiding senior leadership decisions and driving the continuous improvement of our vast logistics network.
You are expected to have exceptional analytical, planning, and written/verbal communication skills. You know and love working with business intelligence tools, are comfortable accessing and working with big data from multiple sources, and are enthusiastic about partnering with the business to deliver results. You are a self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity, able to think big, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.

Key job responsibilities
• Support long-term forecasting efforts for the Middle Mile network, focusing on Quarterly Guidance Numbers Validation
• Support in running the forecasting models to predict network capacity requirements 1-3 years in advance
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data and insights for accurate long-term forecasting
• Analyze historical data, market trends, and business strategies to refine long-term forecasting methodologies
• Oversee the Plan of Record (POR) planning process, ensuring alignment with company objectives and financial targets
• Contribute to long-term strategy programs that prepare Amazon's logistics for growth, balancing delivery speed with efficiency and cost-effectiveness
