Amazon
Across Emerging Markets (10 countries across APAC, MENA and LATAM), Amazon has an opportunity to engage the next 500MM customers and build profitable business in the next 3 years. The Sub Same Day team will build for this market to deliver shopping orders to our customers within the same day in a reliable manner.
The program is rapidly growing, is highly cross-functional in nature, intensive and requires a number of solutions to be built and scaled. We build extensible EM first solutions to drive SSD program’s product strategy and Improve Fulfillment Convenience for customers while reducing overall Cost to Serve.
We are looking for a Senior Program Manager to own and drive cross-IES mechanisms that keep our business on track, accelerate structured experimentation, deepen our understanding of customers and the competitive landscape, and ensure operational excellence across stores.
You will work across IES leadership, product, science, and operations teams to build and run the mechanisms that connect our plans to outcomes — and course-correct when they diverge.
Key job responsibilities
Business Performance & Accountability
-Own IES-wide mechanisms to track business inputs and outputs against plan — across stores, speed tiers, and programs
-Identify gaps early, drive root-cause analysis, and work with stakeholders to create mitigation and recovery paths
-Publish regular business reviews with clear narratives on where we are, where we're headed, and what needs to change to stay on track
Experimentation Tracking & Scaling
-Build and maintain a centralized repository of all experiments running across IES — including hypotheses, status, results, and learnings
-Ensure experiment results are published consistently and accessible to all stakeholders
-Drive a culture of structured experimentation — ensuring we learn fast, document well, and scale what works
Customer & Competitive Intelligence
- Drive mechanisms to systematically understand customers across IES — what they value, where we fall short, and how their needs vary by store and geography
- Track the competitive landscape — monitor quick commerce, grocery, and delivery players across key markets. Scale automated benchmarking mechanisms across stores.
- Identify key gaps between our offering and customer expectations or competitive benchmarks, and ensure these feed into the product and business roadmap
Operational Issue Resolution
- Enable quick resolution of store-level operational and capability challenges through structured ticket-based mechanisms
- Drive continuous improvement in issue resolution by leveraging AI to identify patterns, automate triage, and reduce time-to-resolution
- Ensure systemic issues are escalated, root-caused, and permanently fixed — not just patched
Knowledge Management & Strategic Documentation
- Document lessons learned across stores and maintain a centralized repository of strategic decisions, trade-offs, and outcomes
- Track the evolving speed × selection continuum — ensuring decisions made across stores are captured with context, rationale, and results so they serve as a reference for future planning across IES
