Description

AWS Training and Certification org is seeking a BIE Manager to lead our Data and Analytics team. As the leader of this team, you will have broad latitude to interpret data across revenue, customers trained, customer trends, and operating expense, and directly influence the organization's senior management. Your team will deliver proactive, deep insights into the KPIs and metrics driving the business — and increasingly, will use Generative AI tools to accelerate insight generation, automate reporting workflows, and surface predictive intelligence at scale.

You will manage a team of 5–10 business Intelligence engineers, and data engineers responsible for building and streamlining data infrastructure, defining methodologies, and creating self-service reporting and insight tools for the T&C organization and its stakeholders. You will lead the development of statistical models and work closely with engineering and data science teams to implement forecasting and planning solutions. You will also be accountable for building a GenAI-forward team culture — evaluating emerging AI/ML tools, integrating large language model (LLM) capabilities into BI workflows, and upskilling your team on GenAI best practices.

The right candidate is passionate about people leadership, AI-driven analytics, large-scale data infrastructure, and bringing data forward to answer the critical business questions that deepen our understanding of our business drivers. This role requires excellent team leadership, communication skills, analytical modeling expertise, and the ability to partner across AWS T&C Product, Data and BI Engineering, Finance, Strategy, and Sales teams to drive business outcomes. You will operate with a high degree of autonomy, set clear direction for your team, and lead with both technical depth and strategic vision.

Key job responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of 5–10 business intelligence engineers, and data engineers — including hiring, performance management, and career development
- Define and execute a long-term BI and analytics strategy aligned with AWS T&C organizational goals, with GenAI integration as a core pillar
- Drive the adoption of Generative AI tools across BI workflows, including LLM-assisted insight generation, AI-powered anomaly detection, natural language querying, and agentic reporting pipelines
- Create and deliver advanced metrics, reporting platforms, and analytical models — including forecasting, predictive modeling, and scenario analysis — critical for tracking and managing the business
- Partner with functional business leaders to establish a single source of truth for data and reporting, and build scalable business insights solutions
- Translate complex analytical findings into clear, compelling narratives for senior leadership, including VPs and Directors
- Mentor team members, support their professional growth, and foster a culture of continuous learning, experimentation, and data-driven decision-making
- Collaborate with engineering and data science teams to implement robust, production-grade analytics solutions
