We are seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer to help build and operate the simulation platform supporting advanced robotics development at Amazon. This role focuses on designing and scaling high-performance, cloud-native infrastructure that enables distributed simulation workloads, learning pipelines, and automated validation systems. You will play a key role in transforming advanced simulation capabilities into reliable, maintainable, and scalable software systems that accelerate robotics innovation.
Key job responsibilities
- Design and operate the core simulation platform infrastructure supporting large-scale robotics development and learning workloads
- Architect and scale cloud-native systems in AWS, including distributed job orchestration, resource management, and cost-efficient compute utilization
- Own CI/CD pipelines, build systems, and automated testing infrastructure for complex C++ and Python codebases
- Develop and maintain tooling to manage simulation environments, assets, and versioned artifacts across teams
- Improve performance, reliability, and reproducibility through observability, profiling, and automated regression systems
- Establish and enforce software engineering best practices, including modular architecture, code quality standards, and long-term maintainability
- Partner with robotics and research teams to productionize advanced capabilities into robust, scalable software systems
- Enable large-scale validation, benchmarking, and certification workflows through automated evaluation infrastructure
