Description

How does Amazon deliver millions of packages faster than customers expect, across the globe, every single day?

If that question excites you, keep reading. We're looking for a Senior Technical Program Manager to lead the strategy and execution of Amazon's Speed Programs across Last Mile Delivery. This is a high-visibility, high-impact role where your work will shape the delivery experience for hundreds of millions of customers worldwide.

At Amazon, we're working to be the most Customer-centric company on earth. One customer experience that we’re constantly looking to take to a new level is how we fulfill and deliver their orders. Our Last Mile organization is at the forefront of this mission: pioneering new products and services, partnering with Delivery Service Partners and Amazon Flex, and building a world-class operation that spans North America, Europe, and Asia Pacific. Speed is one of the most customer-visible and strategically important pillars of this work, and you'll be at the center of it.

As part of Amazon Delivery's PRISM (Central TPM) organization, you will own the end-to-end program strategy for last mile initiatives, driving cross-functional alignment across business, product, and engineering teams to launch and scale programs that move the needle on delivery speed. You will partner with senior leaders across multiple organizations to define priorities, remove blockers, and deliver results.

The ideal candidate thrives in ambiguity, brings strong business and technical judgment, and has a track record of delivering complex programs. You are a crisp communicator who can influence at the VP level and translate business goals into actionable roadmaps. If you want to solve one of the most challenging problems in logistics, making delivery faster for every customer, everywhere, this is your role.

Key job responsibilities
- Serve as the single-threaded leader owning complex programs across multiple VP organizations
- Identify business and technical requirements with science, operations, product, and engineering stakeholders, translating them into specifications, scoped deliverables, and program roadmap from design through launch
- Lead design and implementation efforts across cross-functional teams, making trade-offs to optimize time-to-market
- Own stakeholder communication through all stages of the product lifecycle, clearly articulating goals, roles, and desired outcomes
- Drive high-level strategic initiatives while being willing to roll up your sleeves and get the job done

The right candidate will have a strong program management background, demonstrated experience leading large to extra-large projects, and a well-rounded technical foundation. You must thrive in an entrepreneurial environment and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities.

A day in the life
Your day starts by connecting the dots across teams, aligning product, engineering, and operations leaders on what matters most for our customer and business. You will run strategic reviews, unblock cross-functional dependencies, and make trade-off decisions that keep programs on track. Some days you are deep in data, shaping the roadmap; other days you are in a room full of senior leaders driving alignment on the next big bet. No two days look the same, but every day you are directly influencing how fast customers get their packages.
