This role is of leader of Risk Operations within VRMO. This role will require to enhance the vision and charter for identifying bad actors across seller lifecycle, including, risk identification and mitigation across diverse set of programs WW. This role will require to partner with WW risk managers, product teams, tech partners, legal partners and business partners to establish a vision of sustainable compliance.
Key job responsibilities
• Responsible for setting the vision, direction and driving WW alignment to improve overall verification and enforcement of bad actors
• Define, implement and manage bad actor risks, inclusive of the development and reporting against metrics and key performance indicators, meant to assess health of operations and continuous improvement.
• Identify Key Operational Risk areas , ascertain risk thresholds , review processes for its adequacy , engage with stakeholders to drive risk mitigation, monitor Key Risk Indicators and periodically report out risk performance.
• Work with a wide range of cross-functional teams to assess current controls and influence the technology and science teams to build scalable systems.
• Communicate regularly with leadership and ensure consistent reporting of risk indicators and identified controls.
About the team
The Verification Risk Management and Operations (VRMO) team's charter is to protect Amazon platform from bad actors SP across seller lifecycle. In this role, you will work closely with corporate counsel, legal, business teams, selling partner experience and support teams, operational excellence, product, BI and data science/engineering teams to deliver high-impact end to end risk management solution by onboarding, managing, auditing labs and working with multiple stakeholders internally and externally to scale this area. Think of this role as a non-technical “solution architect” where you will be given the autonomy to develop a strategy and build effective mechanisms to scale bad actor verification and mitigation.

Basic qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Risk Management, Business Administration, Security Management, or a related field
- 10+ years of risk management, audit, legal, compliance, operations, or a similar discipline experience
- Experience with cross functional project or program delivery
- Experience using data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop business cases
Preferred qualifications
- Experience in compliance, audit or risk management
- Knowledge of AI and tech fluency will be an added advantage
