Amazon is seeking an experienced communications professional to lead employee-facing communications for Amazon's corporate workforce across Italy.

As the Internal Corporate Communications Lead, you will develop and execute strategic communication efforts with various Amazon corporate stakeholders. The position will support employees and leaders through clear, compelling communications and will provide strategic communication counsel to cross-functional partners on a wide range of complex topics.

You will develop content for the business-specific editorial calendar; manage issues, and execute on strategic employee communications, programmes, and experiences across the business. You will insist on high standards, dive deep into details, have a strong bias for action, and manage competing priorities while inventing new solutions to scale successful experiments to broader audiences in Italy and abroad. You’ll be responsible for the planning, organization, and promotion of the main events for Amazon Corporate employees across Italian corporate offices, from simple activations to the flagship annual event with hundreds of attendees.

The role would suit a strategic communications professional with a passion for storytelling, problem-solving, and employee engagement. You will keep composure in fast-moving situations, embrace ambiguity and changing tides, be able to quickly get up to speed on complex issues, anticipate employee questions/reactions, and quickly prepare thorough messaging strategies.

This position is based in Milan and requires five days per week on-site.

Key job responsibilities
- Work as part of the Italy PR team, developing internal communications plans and content with clear, tailored narratives to engage Amazon's corporate employee base across Italy
- Strategic creation and oversight of the editorial calendar
- Develop internal communication plans for new programs, policies, and organisational changes
- Coordinate the delivery of content across multiple channels including intranet, digital screens, newsletters, and office branding
- Produce engaging content and craft compelling editorial news stories
- Support the development and execution of video content and multimedia communications
- Proactively build and manage cross-functional relationships with internal stakeholders, functions, and geographies
- Build stakeholder relationships across a range of businesses


A day in the life
As Internal Corporate Communications Manager for Italy, you'll collaborate with business leaders to shape messaging for policy changes, draft compelling content for the weekly corporate newsletter, and analyze engagement metrics. You’ll be responsible for uplifting the employee experience in the office through selected campaigns and events, closely coordinating with business, supporting teams and vendors. You will be responsible for supporting and/or developing brand new creative concepts for culture-building campaigns. When leadership is involved in your campaigns or events, you will be curating their employee-facing comms, ensuring balanced tone and full preparedness. You’ll balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution, always keeping the employee experience at the center of everything you do.

About the team
The Italy team is part of the International Stores & Corporate Comms organization, responsible for Amazon comms in 29 countries outside of the U.S. and China. We manage Corporate Comms (incl. Economic Impact, Workplace & Operations, Sustainability, Policy Comms, Customer Trust, Community and reactive issues), Stores Comms (incl. Grocery, Fashion, Amazon Business, Payments and Books), Ads Comms and Internal Corporate Comms. In total, our team consists of 10 people. We each bring a unique and diverse set of experiences to the table. Some of us are former journalists, others have extensive internal and external communications experience from the PR industry, and some have deep expertise in change management and employee engagement.
