Amazon Brazil Operations is seeking an experienced leader to own and plan transportation planning for the Sub Same Day Delivery business. This role is responsible for end-to-end planning for SSD, which includes OTR and UTR Planning, recovery planning and build capacity for delivery channels and node types, ensuring business continuity, customer promise protection, and network resilience.
The Program Manager for planning drives short, mid and long-term planning. The role has country-level scope across all process path and partners closely with Operations, Finance, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Product teams to build capacity buffers, and activate strategic and growth plans when needed.
Key job responsibilities
Work with Transports Planning and Supply Chain teams to capture and align on demand signals, understanding and sanity checking assumptions;
Support team on calculating, based on existing methodologies and systems, the operational requirements to operate the volume in the last mile (volume per Delivery station, required number of routes, required labor , required infra-structure, productivity metrics);
Publish volume plans to key internal stakeholders, capture resource commitments from such teams to evaluate potential capacity gaps, following up on solve plans for such gaps;
Lead calls and coordinate action items and follow-up on critical topics related to balancing capacity and demand in the last mile space;
Represent LM Capacity Planning in daily calls to provide planning updates and take action items, delegating and prioritizing such actions with internal teams.
Work on and deploy process and systems improvements in the last mile planning scope, benchmarking on state-of-the-art processes, working with product and internal teams to deploy such improvements
