Amazon
Are you an experienced litigator ready to take on some of the most complex and consequential legal challenges in the world? Amazon's Legal Department is looking for a skilled competition litigator to help shape the company's approach to worldwide litigation and regulatory matters — and to play a meaningful role in how one of the world's most innovative companies manages legal and business risk.
Key job responsibilities
- Manage and supervise domestic and international disputes and regulatory matters, with a focus on worldwide competition issues
- Directly engage with government officials and regulators on behalf of Amazon
- Direct overall case and matter strategy, including selecting and managing outside counsel
- Assess legal and business risk and coordinate with senior leadership on risk management decisions
- Advise internal stakeholders on a broad spectrum of complex and novel legal issues
- Travel domestically and internationally as needed to support active matters
A day in the life
In this role, you'll work at the intersection of law, business strategy, and government relations. On any given day, you might be strategizing with outside counsel on a regulatory investigation, briefing senior leadership on litigation risk, or advising a business team navigating a novel legal question. You'll collaborate closely with colleagues across Amazon's legal organization and engage directly with regulators and government officials around the world. No two days look the same — and that's what makes this role uniquely challenging and rewarding.
