Amazon Heavy & Bulky Logistics (AMXL) is seeking an experienced candidate to identify, create, develop and integrate innovative solutions and programs that lead to improvements in our last mile delivery network. This position will lead the development and execution of new worldwide transportation initiatives designed to improve overall efficiency and meet the ever-growing demand for last mile capacity.
Key job responsibilities
- Retrieve, analyze, and manage large datasets using Excel, SQL, and other data systems to support planning and scenario analysis.
- Execute scenario analysis across short-term, mid-term, and HVE horizons using standardized modeling frameworks.
- Partner with execution teams to assess plan vs. actuals, identify risks, and recommend modeling improvements.
- Document modeling logic, assumptions, and outputs to ensure clarity, reproducibility, and continuity.
- Own DSP strategy and OTR capacity insights for Last Mile planning, including implications for high-volume events, profitability, and network design.
- Lead the OTR tooling and automation roadmap, ensuring alignment across MTP, Last Mile planning, and DSP planning tech.
- Define and operationalize DSP performance metrics that inform planning assumptions, scenarios, and leadership decisions.
- Explore and frame “Think Big” network initiatives (e.g., route design, pickup models), translating analysis into clear recommendations and decision points.

Review data and signals to pressure-test scenarios and inform planning decisions.
