Description

The ACES Program Manager for Amazon Transportation Services (ATS) Sort Centres will own defect injection control across the Middle Mile network — driving structural solves that protect process integrity and customer-facing metrics. This role sits at the intersection of operations, process excellence, and network-wide deployment, ensuring that defects are captured upstream, root causes are eliminated structurally, and solutions are horizontally scaled across the sort centre network.

The ideal candidate is a process thinker and execution driver who can translate operational complexity into clear, deployable frameworks — delivering Clarity to operators, Reliability to customers, and Predictability to the business.

Key job responsibilities
1. Defect Injection Control & Structural Problem Solving (Functional Dimension: Execution, Impact)

Own identification, root cause analysis, and structural elimination of defects impacting process and customer-facing metrics
Lead defect deep-dives using ACES methodology — driving first-time-right solutions rather than reactive containment
Partner with operations, engineering, and tech teams to design upstream defect capture mechanisms that prevent downstream failures
Build and maintain a defect registry with structured corrective action tracking and closure accountability
2. Network-Wide Horizontal Deployment (Functional Dimension: Scale, Influence)

Identify high-impact process solves and lead structured horizontal deployment across the sort center network
Develop deployment playbooks, operator SOPs , and adoption toolkits to ensure consistent execution at scale
Drive stabilization and adoption of new processes/tools before handover to site operations teams
Enable transparency of changes pre- and post-implementation through structured change tracking platforms
3. Process Excellence & Gatekeeper Role (Functional Dimension: Quality, Governance)

Review and safeguard process flows and operator experience for all partner team initiatives impacting sort center operations
Ensure change management effectiveness through the ACES framework
Provide operational inputs on solution design for new programs, products, and technologies
Support WBR/MBR/QBR metric reviews and drive corrective actions on process-linked performance gaps
4. Stakeholder Management & Cross-Functional Collaboration (Functional Dimension: Influence, Communication)

Serve as the operational bridge between technology, business, and sort center operations teams
Manage stakeholder alignment across Middle Mile, ACES, L&D, and partner program teams
Communicate program status, risks, and impact clearly to senior leadership and ground operations
5. Training & Adoption (Functional Dimension: Capability Building)

Raise training requests and support adoption drives for new processes and structural changes
Own Learning POC responsibilities for assigned process paths or channels
Drive training completion and assessment pass rates to ensure operational readiness before go-live

A day in the life
Your day starts with a pulse check on network defect trends — scanning CPT%, NC%, and CR data to identify emerging patterns before they become systemic issues. By mid-morning, you're in a deep-dive with a site ops team, walking through a structural solve for a recurring defect in a high-volume process path.

Post-lunch, you're reviewing a deployment playbook for a process change ready to go horizontal across 8 sort centres — aligning with L&D on training readiness and with the tech team on tool stabilization timelines. You close the day drafting a WBR update that tells the story of defect reduction progress, with clear corrective actions for sites still in the red.

No two days look the same — but every day, you're connecting the dots between ground-level execution and network-wide impact, ensuring that what gets fixed in one building gets deployed everywhere.
