Amazon's Human Rights & Social Impact program drives customer trust, business continuity, and sustainable social impact by embedding respect for human rights and the environment throughout Amazon’s entire value chain. We implement company-wide standards and commitments such as our Global Human Rights Principles (GHRP) and Supply Chain Standards (SCS). We seek to continuously improve the tools and processes used in integrating human rights and environmental due diligence across the business.
The Human Rights and Social Impact team is looking for a Program Manager to support execution and continuous improvement of Amazon's Responsible Minerals Sourcing and supplier risk programs. This role is central to maintaining high-quality program operations, ensuring accurate data flows, and supporting business stakeholders in understanding supplier compliance status. Working within a collaborative team structure, you will own key operational workflows while learning to contribute tactically to program strategy.
The ideal candidate is an organized, detail-oriented professional with a problem-solving mindset and solid communication skills. You have experience in conflict minerals reporting or in supply chain risk management. You are a self-starter who takes ownership of your work, can manage multiple competing priorities, and proactively identifies opportunities to improve processes.
Key job responsibilities
Minerals Reporting Program Operations
You will own recurring program workflows critical to Amazon's minerals reporting and due diligence obligations, including:
- Managing the end-to-end flow of Conflict Minerals Reporting Template (CMRT) and Extended Minerals Reporting Template (EMRT) data, from ingestion and classification to publication in internal business facing dashboards and leadership reporting.
- Tracking smelter due diligence corrective action status and coordinating monthly Denied Party Screening (DPS), escalating risks or delays to program leads as needed
- Serving as a point of contact for Business Units on supplier status and classification questions, and managing supplier follow-up and escalations for non-responsive suppliers
- Coordinate implementation of compliance strategies for forthcoming minerals due diligence regulations
Program Support & Stakeholder Collaboration
- Understand end-to-end supplier due diligence processes and communicate clearly with stakeholders on how changes may impact internal and external customers
- Collaborate with stakeholders across Amazon business models, as well as third-party firms and suppliers
- Develop and improve project and program management processes, identifying opportunities to leverage technology, AI, and improve automation
- Create and maintain business metrics and reporting to support program visibility
- Revise and maintain internal documentation, FAQs, and resources for Human Rights and Social Impact, business stakeholders, and suppliers based on program updates
- Provide concise, digestible status updates for senior leadership on operational topics and program progress
- Contribute to deep dives on supplier due diligence quality, data accuracy, and operational efficiency
Process Improvement & Regulatory Awareness
- Identify opportunities to optimize recurring workflows and procedures, and collaborate with the program team to implement improvements
- Maintain awareness of industry best practices in responsible minerals sourcing, and flag emerging trends or regulatory changes to program leads
- Support the team in improving processes for ingesting and analyzing supplier compliance data
Team Operations & Planning
In this role, you will support how the Human Rights and Social Impact team plans, coordinates, and communicates its work:
- Support team meeting operations, including preparing agendas, capturing notes and action items, and following up to keep workstreams on track
- Contribute to goal-setting and planning cycles by tracking progress, compiling updates, and preparing materials for leadership and business reviews
- Help maintain team reporting and dashboards that communicate program health and progress to senior stakeholders
