Description

Transform global competition policy landscapes by bridging innovative business strategies with regulatory insights. In this role you'll be a key strategic advisor who helps shape Amazon's approach to complex policy challenges across Europe, Middle East, and Asia-Pacific, empowering businesses and fostering competitive marketplaces that ultimately benefit customers and entrepreneurs worldwide.

This role and team is based in Seattle. As Principal Competition Policy Manager, you will be in a position to travel internationally in line with the business need.

You will help advise Amazon’s Consumer businesses on competition-related policy developments in Europe, the Middle East, and the Asia-Pacific region; help shape the company’s long-term strategy on high impact, complex, and often novel issues; and work with colleagues throughout the company to demonstrate how our businesses operate, spur innovation, foster competition, benefit customers, and enable third-party businesses of all sizes to compete in the global marketplace. As the Principal Competition Policy Manager, you will work with a broad coalition of external stakeholders, including industry associations, multilateral bodies, academic institutions, and researchers.

In addition, you will provide strategic advice on competition policy matters to in-country International Public Policy colleagues working in the aforementioned jurisdictions and help them design, administer, and execute mitigation and engagement strategies. As the Principal Competition Policy Manager, you will monitor and report relevant legislative and regulatory activity, develop positioning, draft collateral, and support outreach programs in concert with business objectives.
