Do you have a passion for B2B contracts and driving innovation to transform this growing part of Amazon Business? Are you an expert in solving customer problems, good with numbers and interpreting contract obligations, and identifying new opportunities for process optimization? The Amazon Managed Spend Services team is seeking a talented and highly motivated Contract Program Manager to work on the Bid/Capture team. The position will have primary responsibility of contractual payment obligations across the diverse Amazon Business B2B portfolio of agreements. Responsibilities will include contract interpretation, external customer communications, internal payment process ownership, sharing of best practices, and process optimization. Contracts include both public and private sector customers and multiple payment types and currencies globally.
This position requires the candidate to have: an eye for detail; exemplary organizational skills; an ability to identify and drive global process improvements; a willingness to coordinate between sales, accounts payable, business contracts, and other stakeholder teams; and excellent communication skills with internal and external customers.
Key job responsibilities
· Lead and have primary ownership of contract payment obligations across a $XXB B2B global business
-Coordinate invoice reconciliation processes with external customers and PO generation processes with internal stakeholder teams
· Develop and implement tools and processes in contracting payment operations to increase efficiency and sales productivity
-Advise on payment term contracting issues and approaches and consolidate best practices
-Support the Sales, Bid Capture, and Business Development teams in educating customer and GPO contracting officials on Amazon Business payment processes
· Establish internal reporting on contract payment performance; work with partner teams to create tools and mechanisms to track contract payment performance
