We're seeking a Sr. Design Program Manager to architect and drive the operational strategy that enables our design and research teams to deliver impact at scale. This is a unique opportunity to own complex, ambiguous design programs in a fast-growing organization working on both sides of our marketplace—creating intuitive buyer journeys that simplify complex procurement workflows and building elegant partner tools that help ISVs manage and grow their businesses.
As a Sr. Design Program Manager, you'll be accountable for the overall strategy and execution of complex design programs from concept to delivery. You'll define program vision and objectives, establish mechanisms that scale efficiency across teams, and drive measurable improvements in customer experience, team productivity, and business outcomes. You'll work independently to scope and plan initiatives with organizational-level impact, influencing leaders across product, engineering, business development, and marketing. You must think strategically beyond tactical implementations, make trade-offs between short and long-term needs, and thrive in ambiguous environments where methodology, requirements, and feasibility may not be defined.
Key job responsibilities
- Own the strategy and execution of large, complex design programs spanning buyer and partner experiences, defining program vision, objectives, and success metrics that align with organizational goals
- Scope and deliver business-critical design initiatives end-to-end, driving and shaping the overall program strategy and roadmap in ambiguous environments where methodology and requirements may not be defined
- Work independently to gather requirements, identify appropriate resources and skills needed, map capacity against scope, and develop milestones and launch schedules to ensure timely delivery
- Create and optimize cross-team mechanisms that scale efficiency and best practices, establishing design processes and workflows that maximize team velocity and quality
- Measure and report on program progress, anticipate and resolve bottlenecks, provide escalation management, and make strategic trade-offs balancing business needs versus technical constraints
- Drive collaboration between design disciplines (UX design, user research, content design) and cross-functional partners (product, engineering, business development, marketing) throughout the program lifecycle
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders and senior leadership teams, relying on influence over authority to drive program deliverables and alignment
- Contribute to organizational planning including OP1/OP2 narratives, taking ownership of organizational goals and managing design roadmaps that support broader business objectives
- Identify long-term risks and define mitigation strategies for complex programs, proactively seeking new data and mechanisms to ensure design deliverables stay aligned with organizational objectives
- Communicate program status, strategy, and outcomes regularly with design teams, stakeholders, and executives, translating design work into measurable business impact
