The PACE Engagement Manager (EM) plays an essential role in delivering prototyping and cloud engineering engagements. The EM collaborates with account teams, partners and customers to uncover opportunities where AWS emerging technologies can transform their business, crafting a clear vision and value proposition that inspires innovation. This role collaborates with Solutions Architects and Prototyping Engineers to oversee the delivery of cutting-edge prototypes, through engagements that are scoped for feasibility, impacts, and long-term business value. By building relationships and earning customer trust, aligning stakeholders, and driving cross-functional collaboration, the EM accelerates strategic outcomes for customers of all sizes, in all industries.

Key job responsibilities
Key responsibilities of the role are to:
- Proactively identify prototyping opportunities with partners, customers, sales, and account teams. EMs dive deep to understand the customer’s business priorities, as well as their technical context, to identify opportunities or gaps that require use of emerging technologies and AWS services.
- Create, articulate, and position a compelling vision and value proposition to convey the financial, technological and transformational value of experimenting.
- Work alongside Solutions Architecture leadership to support customers in the exploration, ideation, engineering and delivery of leading edge, innovative, cloud-based solutions leveraging an extensive breadth of new and emerging technologies.
- Qualify, execute and deliver strategic innovation, and prototyping outcomes for a variety of customers across a broad range of industries and verticals, by leading and managing the delivery of engagements.
- Establish the scope of engagements and define working arrangements in collaboration with customers’ technical and business stakeholders. This includes evaluating feasibility and potential long-term impact and outcomes for customers and Amazon, to ensure return on investment of engagements.
- Drive collaboration across cross-functional teams, both internal and external, and facilitate stakeholder management across all levels from senior customer leadership to project teams.
- Develop extensive executive and senior technical relationships within client organizations; being viewed as a trusted advisor for innovation and cloud technology.
- Help customers and partners align their technical and organizational resources to ensure maximum benefit can be derived from innovation, prototyping, and the adoption of the AWS cloud.
- Capture learnings and customer feedback from engagements and cascade these across the wider organization to improve services and products. EMs also participate in awareness campaigns and share technical and procedural knowledge derived from their engagements.

The AWS Prototyping and Cloud Engineering (PACE) team interacts with leading companies to innovate and deliver mission-critical business solutions on top of AWS services.
