AWS Finance seeks a world class Senior Financial Analyst to be a key leader supporting the AWS Networking Services.

This position will work closely with finance management as well as key business partners across the AWS organization, including service general managers, product managers, engineering leaders, sales and business development leadership to drive thoughtful analysis and controllership to AWS Networking Services.

The position will own P&Ls and perform usage and revenue analyses for new services and for existing services, deliver ad-hoc business projects and analyses, conduct usage and revenue planning, and provide financial insights.

This role requires solid skills in thought leadership, a self-starter with a strong management and financial modeling background, problem solving skills, a keen attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with ambiguous situations. This role requires strong communication skills and has regular interaction with various AWS business units & senior leadership.

Key job responsibilities
Business Partnership & Stakeholder Communication
- Lead cross-functional business discussions with Networking services stakeholders to drive strategic decision-making and operational excellence
- Partner with business and finance leaders to identify key performance drivers, risks, and opportunities across all Networking service lines
- Provide analytical insights and recommendations to support business strategy development and execution


Financial Reporting & Controllership

- Own the monthly financial reporting process for all Networking services, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and actionable insights

- Drive and manage key reporting timelines including weekly business reviews, monthly closes, and quarterly planning cycles

- Coordinate cross-functional data collection and validation processes to ensure reporting accuracy


Competitive Analysis & Business Strategy

- Consolidate and analyze key performance metrics including revenue, usage patterns, infrastructure cost, and profitability measures

- Develop and maintain comprehensive dashboards and executive-level reporting packages

- Synthesize complex financial and operational data from multiple sources to create coherent business narratives

- Conduct competitive benchmarking analysis to assess Networking services performance relative to market standards

- Monitor industry trends, pricing dynamics, and competitive positioning to inform strategic planning

A day in the life
Begin analyzing the prior week's revenue metrics and preparing variance commentary for the weekly Networking services business review. Review monthly performance against plan, identifying key drivers behind revenue fluctuations. Synthesize financial data from multiple service lines into executive-ready insights. Facilitate discussions between business and finance leadership on performance drivers and competitive positioning. Update monthly reporting packages, conduct variance analysis, and prepare revenue commentary connecting financial results to operational drivers.
