Project Kuiper is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of over 3,000 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). Its mission is to bring fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities around the world. Project Kuiper will help close the digital divide by delivering fast, affordable broadband to a wide range of customers, including consumers, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in places without reliable connectivity.

The Kuiper Environmental Specialist will support critical environmental initiatives for Amazon's Kuiper project, based at either our Redmond or Kirkland, Washington facility. This role combines technical expertise with program support to enhance Kuiper's environmental performance and regulatory compliance. As an individual contributor, you will help implement environmental management systems, support compliance programs, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives. Working with the environmental team, you will assist in integrating environmental solutions and best practices into daily operations while ensuring regulatory requirements are met. Your responsibilities will include supporting environmental systems, maintaining compliance processes, and implementing sustainable practices.

Export Control Requirement:
Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

A day in the life
Based at Redmond or Kirkland, Washington production facility, the Environmental Specialist role support Amazon Kuiper's EHS Environmental Compliance programs under the supervision of the Environmental Engineer and Sr. Environmental Manager. In this role, you'll help maintain and improve our environmental programs while supporting manufacturing operations. You will be responsible for implementing technical solutions, supporting compliance initiatives, and assisting with environmental challenges in our state-of-the-art facilities.
