Description

Project Kuiper is Amazon’s low Earth orbit satellite broadband network. We are seeking a Systems Engineer to support and operate our productivity infrastructure, with a particular focus on optimizing our license server systems. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you'll leverage your expertise to enhance system reliability, scalability, and performance, directly impacting the efficiency of our entire organization. If you're passionate about solving complex technical challenges, driving continuous improvement, and working with state-of-the-art satellite technology, we want you on our team!

4. Collaborate with software vendors to troubleshoot issues, negotiate contracts, and ensure optimal performance of licensed applications.

A day in the life
Starting with a team stand-up to discuss ongoing projects and any urgent issues. You then dive into analyzing license usage reports, identifying optimization opportunities. Midday, you're troubleshooting a performance bottleneck in a critical design software's license server. In the afternoon, you're collaborating with vendor support to resolve a complex licensing issue, while also mentoring a junior engineer on implementing automated license provisioning scripts. You wrap up by drafting a proposal for scaling the license infrastructure to support Kuiper's next phase of growth.
