Selling Partner Services is looking for a passionate, innovative leader to help define and set economic conditions for the success of our sellers globally. To meet our sellers’ needs, our smart, diverse, customer-obsessed employees are constantly innovating on behalf of sellers, developing fee strategies and incentives to help sellers grow on Amazon.
The role will impact sellers offering new, used, and collectible products to Amazon customers around the world. In a very real way, we are changing lives with the work we do. The ideal candidate has excellent business acumen and judgment, profound curiosity, strong technical skills, deep analytical abilities, superior written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to influence cross-functional teams. They will make data driven decision, be a self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity and juggling multiple projects, able to think big and be creative (while paying careful attention to detail), and will enjoy working in a fast-paced dynamic environment. They will work closely with Operations, Product, Marketing, Seller Recruitment, Business, and Finance teams around the world.
The scope for this role includes the following:
· Establish and apply economic frameworks to modify fee structures and magnitudes. Communicate trade-offs to ensure we prioritize the most critical and impactful work.
· Partner with business, data scientists, product managers, and finance to identify, develop, manage, and execute analyses to uncover areas of opportunity and present executive level business recommendations.
· Analyze and solve business problems at their root, stepping back to understand the broader context.
· Manage and execute large projects from start to finish including project scoping, data gathering and manipulation, synthesis and analysis, problem solving, communication of insights and recommendations, in-market delivery, and monitoring and optimization.
· Participate in periodic reviews with Amazon Executive Leadership team.
· Reporting of key insights and trends, using statistical rigor to simplify and inform the larger team of noteworthy story lines
