We're seeking an experienced Software Development Manager to lead our Subscription Retention engineering team at Amazon Music. This pivotal role sits at the intersection of technology, business strategy, and customer experience, playing a crucial part in our company's sustainable growth.
Key job responsibilities
As the Software Development Manager for Subscription Retention, you will be responsible for driving the technical strategy and overseeing the execution of innovative solutions that directly impact our bottom line. Your mission will be to enhance customer retention, reduce churn, and optimize the entire subscription lifecycle through the latest technology and data-driven approaches.
In this role, you'll lead a team of talented engineers fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. You'll be expected to leverage your deep technical expertise, coupled with a strong understanding of subscription business models, to develop and implement sophisticated retention strategies.
This position requires not only technical prowess but also strong business acumen and leadership skills. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams including Product Management, Marketing, central tech teams and other digital businesses like Alexa, PV, Prime to align technical solutions with business objectives and customer needs.
As a senior leader in the organization, you'll also play a key role in shaping our overall technical direction, mentoring the next generation of engineering talent, and representing our technical capabilities to executive leadership and external partners.
