As a Retail Finance Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving financial strategy, analysis, and reporting for a category retail business unit. Reporting to the Senior Retail Finance Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end financial management of several retail locations, encompassing budgeting, forecasting, performance tracking, and business partnering with store operations.
The ideal candidate will have experience in retail or consumer finance, with a strong background in financial analysis, reporting, and business partnering. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required, along with an advanced degree or CPA/CMA certification preferred. Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this role.
Key job responsibilities
Developing and maintaining detailed financial models and forecasts to support strategic decision-making for the retail business
Analyzing sales, expenses, inventory, and other key performance metrics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for operational improvement
Collaborating closely with category leaders and vendor managers to understand business drivers and provide financial guidance
Preparing comprehensive financial reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate insights to cross-functional stakeholders
Owning the retail financial planning and budgeting process, ensuring alignment with overall corporate goals
Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance financial reporting and analysis capabilities
Providing subject matter expertise and thought leadership on retail finance best practices
