We are seeking a Sr. Mechanical Global Commodity Manager to drive strategic sourcing initiatives for our mechanical engineering team. The successful candidate will develop, implement, and execute comprehensive sourcing strategies across designated commodity areas, ensuring operational excellence and innovation in our supply chain.

Key job responsibilities
The Sr. Mechanical Global Commodity Manager leads the mechanical commodity program through strategic partnership with cross-functional teams to manage mechanical parts and programs.
• Manage overall supplier relationships, including supplier performance, capability development, cost, quality and delivery improvements
• Responsible for commodity strategy development, supplier selection and qualification, contract and cost negotiation
• Lead annual/quarterly executive business reviews, including market and business analysis, product roadmaps, supplier capabilities, etc
• Analyze commodity spending and drive the cost optimization, including cost saving and cost avoidance
• Drive the mechanical copy tool qualification, ramp production and mass production at suppliers
• Develop commodity technology roadmap and strategy aligning business requirements
• Collaborate with a cross-functional team to influence technical design decisions to meet customer expectations, technical capabilities, and business objectives
• Stay current with market trends through analysis of market drivers, cost structures, technical advancements, and competitive landscape
• Foster a competitive sourcing environment, leading to continuous improvement in quality, cost, service, and technology
• Regular travel to suppliers is required
