As a Software Engineer you will take an exciting and challenging role on a team that is innovating the books delivery and Reading experience on mobile devices, Kindle devices for millions of Amazon customers. As a software engineer, you will think big and drive architecture decisions for Kindle Delivery, cross OS development, app UX experience and service integrations to deliver awesome reader experience.

We are seeking an inventive and technically skilled Software Development Engineer to join our diverse team at the forefront of delighting millions of readers around the world. We are looking for a senior leader with extensive experience building both client applications and backend services as needed to enable high quality customers experience across all platforms and devices.

The ideal candidate is proactive, responsive, flexible and able to succeed within an open collaborative peer environment. They have a combination of in-depth knowledge of computer science principles and how to architect software for maximum longevity. They demonstrate creative approaches to building software products and able to help engineers to deliver production level high quality code in all components from UI to services and data stores.
