Amazon’s Softlines Private Brands (SPB) team is currently seeking a dynamic Senior Product Manager that will be responsible for tech integration for the processes we use in new product development (roadmap planning, product design, PLM lifecycle management) and scalably reducing commercialization time while increasing new product throughput.
The ideal candidate should be passionate about product and have strong analytical, product development and project management skills. They should feel comfortable dealing with ambiguity, driving stakeholder engagement, and working in an entrepreneurial environment. This Senior Product Manager should be able to collaborate with and influence multiple (global) teams across the APB organization. This role interacts with the tech, science, design, business management, in-stock management, and sourcing teams across Amazon Private Brands.
Key job responsibilities
* Enjoy solving problems and be an expert at crafting solutions, both strategically and tactically, for short, medium, and long-term.
* Be the project lead to partner with relevant cross teams, including tech, science, design, business management, in-stock management, and sourcing teams across Amazon Private Brands to identify, analyze and resolve customer pain points through process and tech solutions
* Clear verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to rally multiple teams around a complex goal through root causing misalignment, regular project update mechanisms, daily collaboration, and continuously seeking to understand your customers’ needs and translate them to tech requirements
* Be effective in communicating technical requirements, process solutions and project updates to executive stakeholders
* Building mechanisms to drive transparency; as we build new processes, you bias towards globally-accessible documentation of projects, critical decisions, and prioritization in order to build a strong foundation for the current and future project teams.
* Influencing without authority across multiple teams, including pushing back with data when you don’t believe the right decision is being made.
* Project management, including the ability create a plan that to clearly articulates the teams involved in each phase, core deliverables, business impact, and milestones for completion. You also anticipate risks and escalate quickly with intent to resolve.
