As a Retail Finance Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving financial strategy, analysis, and reporting for a category retail business unit. Reporting to the Senior Retail Finance Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end financial management of several retail locations, encompassing budgeting, forecasting, performance tracking, and business partnering with store operations.
The ideal candidate will have experience in retail or consumer finance, with a strong background in financial analysis, reporting, and business partnering. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required, along with an advanced degree or CPA/CMA certification preferred. Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this role.
Key job responsibilities
- Developing and maintaining detailed financial models and forecasts to support strategic decision-making for the retail business
- Analyzing sales, expenses, inventory, and other key performance metrics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for operational improvement
- Collaborating closely with category leaders and vendor managers to understand business drivers and provide financial guidance
- Preparing comprehensive financial reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate insights to cross-functional stakeholders
- Owning the retail financial planning and budgeting process, ensuring alignment with overall corporate goals
- Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance financial reporting and analysis capabilities
- Providing subject matter expertise and thought leadership on retail finance best practices
