The Head of Leader Development for Transportation is responsible for formulating and implementing the strategy for Leader Development initiatives supporting EU Transportation Operations (Logistics, Surface Transportation and Sort Centres) and Central functions (STEP). The leader will effectively assess challenges and build performance solutions, lead a team of Senior Managers and Learning Business partners, who drive a databased, scientific and innovative approach to leadership development learning across Operations, the leader must also be comfortable in the creation and delivery of Leadership Development Training content. The role is responsible for supporting three VP business lines, and entails managing senior leaders as main stakeholders and providing strong leadership and direction to meet the needs of developing new and experience leaders from Level 4 to Level 8 in Operations. The role collaborates with various internal and external teams including PXT, Global Operations Talent Development team (GOLD) and External Training Partners.
The role is a people manager role , leading other Senior leaders. The role will be based in LHR35 (London) or another Corporate Office (MUC11, LIN11, MAD12, BCN15, CDG10, LUX20). The role will require travel both within EU and at times NA.


Key job responsibilities
• Analyze leadership development business needs and consult business leaders on solutions for their immediate and strategic needs.
• Define a long term strategy for Leader Development Learning across all Transportation and Central Function business lines.
• Develop strong relationships to various internal and external partners to identify solutions that support business growth
• Manage partnerships with 3rd Party training providers
• Measure impact and quickly revise content/modality to address specific feedback, as needed.
• Maintain and continually expand skill in new learning approaches, technologies and tools through ongoing research and experimentation.
• Create capacity and financial budget plans for 1-3 year projections.

EU STEP brings together Supply Chain, Network Design, and Transportation Planning teams to improve end-to-end forecasting, network flow, planning, and execution. It also brings together our teams from across the business focused on our Operational Excellence pillars - Amazon Customer Excellence Systems (ACES), Learning, Quality, Service, Sustainability and Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) Field teams. This integration strengthens operations and execution while driving quality improvements and enhanced customer experience across the entire value chain.
