Key job responsibilities
As a Senior Software Engineer on our Global Real Estate Tech team, you will be at the forefront of Amazon's AI transformation into the commercial real estate space. This isn't just another engineering role—it's a pivotal position that will directly accelerate our AI initiatives across Amazon's global real estate portfolio.
You will:
- Pioneer AI Implementation: Lead the development of proprietary AI solutions that will transform how Amazon evaluates, acquires, and optimizes its worldwide facilities network
- Drive Business-Critical Decisions: Create systems that directly inform billion-dollar real estate decisions through predictive analytics and machine learning models
- Scale Global Impact: Develop solutions that will be deployed across Amazon's operations in multiple countries, affecting thousands of facilities and millions of square feet of real estate
- Shape the Future of Real Estate Tech: Work at the intersection of commercial real estate and leading-edge technology, defining new standards for how AI can revolutionize traditional industries
- Collaborate with AI Leaders: Partner directly with other Amazon AI/ML experts to bring advanced capabilities to real estate operations, with direct visibility to senior leadership

A day in the life
- Lead and mentor software engineers through code reviews, design discussions, and technical guidance
- Develop AI-powered solutions that analyze real estate data, optimize facility utilization, and automate site selection processes
- Collaborate with real estate experts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions
- Lead, guide and participate in architecture reviews to ensure scalable, maintainable designs that can support Amazon's global real estate portfolio
- Enhance existing applications with new features that leverage geospatial intelligence and AI capabilities
- Write clean, efficient code following Amazon's engineering best practices and documentation standards
- Review team members' code contributions, providing actionable feedback that improves overall code quality
- Stay current with emerging AI and geospatial technologies, evaluating their potential application to real estate operations

About the team
Global Realty Tech manages software tools to drive AI-powered automation, centralize data and rapidly move our workflow forward with regards to what buildings Amazon launches. Since inception, these tools have grown to encompass Amazon's worldwide operations: we now cover thousands of active new launches, retrofits, and lease-related projects. We create global standards for managing data related to these immense capital projects. Our team consists of 15 engineers working closely with data scientists and real estate professionals.
