Project Kuiper is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). Project Kuiper will help close the digital divide by delivering fast, affordable broadband to a wide range of customers, including consumers, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in places without reliable connectivity.
The Product Manager - Technical will be responsible for defining and delivering the Local Web Portal (LWP) and Customer Terminal (CT) components of mobile applications and web that enable seamless management and troubleshooting of Kuiper satellite terminals. This role will drive the development of intuitive user interfaces, robust feature sets, and critical integration points across multiple customer-facing.
As the single threaded owner for the LWP and Customer Terminal aspects the PM-T will ensure a cohesive user experience across all customer touchpoints. They will own the end-to-end product lifecycle from conceptualization through launch, working closely with engineering teams, UX designers, and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver exceptional customer experiences. The role requires deep collaboration with Kuiper Engineering, eCommerce, User Experience, and Field Service teams to ensure seamless integration across.
Key job responsibilities
The successful candidate will drive product strategy and technical execution while serving as the voice of the customer throughout the development process.
- Own the development and maintenance of product vision and feature requirements documents that clearly articulate customer value propositions and technical requirements for all LWP and web features.
- Work closely with UX designers and engineering teams to specify user experiences, operational flows, and documentation that meet customer needs while ensuring technical feasibility.
- Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for each feature, translating customer requirements into detailed user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Lead the feature roadmap development process by gathering requirements from diverse stakeholders including customers, regional teams, business development teams, and solutions architects.
- Own the planning and execution of feature and bug-fix rollouts across all antenna models, ensuring backward compatibility and minimal customer impact.
- Drive cross-functional alignment with adjacent product teams to ensure seamless integration between LWP and other Kuiper teams.
- Manage security, legal, and privacy reviews for all features, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and company policies.
- Guide the development of UX mockups and technical documentation while providing ongoing support to engineering teams throughout the development lifecycle.
- Develop and deliver clear, compelling customer messaging and presentation materials for both end-customers and distributors.
- Lead customer and distributor interactions through various channels to effectively communicate feature capabilities and roadmap plans.
- Demonstrate strong analytical skills in assessing development costs, timelines, and technical trade-offs while maintaining focus on customer value.
