DESCRIPTION

Amazon Worldwide Grocery Stores Technology seeks a Senior UX Program Manager to support a talented team driving grocery innovation across Amazon’s apps, websites, fulfillment tools and internal dashboards. Grocery is a strategic priority for Amazon. The WWGST UX team creates seamless experiences for millions of customers shopping groceries on Amazon, and for the internal customers and associates who serve them.

The right candidate will drive execution and operational excellence of design programs and initiatives, including customer-facing grocery experiences on Amazon, associate tooling, and supply chain systems. Working closely with a Senior UX Manager and large UX team, this role establishes and maintains scalable design operations processes to enable efficient delivery of high-quality work.

Core responsibilities include ownership of the team's intake and sprint processes, ensuring correct prioritization and resource allocation. You'll partner with the UX team, Product Managers, and leadership to ensure work portfolios are aligned to strategic priorities and organizational goals, particularly during key planning cycles. You run Sprint mechanisms like kickoffs, stand-ups, demos, and retrospectives.

The ideal candidate will build and maintain strong partnerships across functional roles within Amazon Grocery Technology, Whole Foods Market, and the broader retail organization. This role will help balance competing priorities, manage escalations and ensure clear communication to all stakeholders. They will possess excellent written and verbal communication, and send bi-weekly sprint reports highlighting key UX deliveries, ensuring visibility and accountability for commitments.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
* 5+ years experience managing complex UX/design programs
* Demonstrated experience with project management tools (e.g., JIRA) and methodologies
* Strong track record of successfully delivering large-scale, cross-functional programs
* Excellence in written and verbal communication, including executive-level presentations
* Experience managing multiple work streams and prioritizing competing demands

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* Experience with retail or e-commerce UX programs
* Proven track record establishing or optimizing design operations
* Deep understanding of agile methodologies and tools like Jira
* Understanding of design thinking principles
* Experience with design tools like Figma
* Track record of influencing senior stakeholders and driving alignment across organizations
* Experience supporting or working within large design organizations
* Strong analytical skills and data-driven decision making
* MBA or advanced degree in related field

Key job responsibilities
* Ownership of team's intake and sprint processes.

* Help Senior UX Manager balance competing priorities, manage escalations and ensure clear communication to all stakeholders.

* Review upcoming calendar and commitments to identify gaps in the teams plan.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of design experience
- Have an available online portfolio
- Experience understanding needs of business and end customers and translating them into right solutions
- Experience gathering and analyzing large amounts of data and delivering continuous business improvements

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Knowledge of project management tools and methodologies (agile to waterfall)
- Experience working and contributing to project playbooks, building schedules, managing issues/risks, establishing communication plans and stakeholder management

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $116,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $192,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
