We are responsible for initiatives that power the customer's experience including strategy definition, product management, program management, software development and operations. Our organization is growing at a fast pace and implementing large-scale changes.

The Sr. Program Manager is responsible for leading initiatives that obsess about our team members' experiences. They lead efforts to ensure our large number of new hires are seamlessly onboarded and integrated to the organization, and drive initiatives focused on team effectiveness and organizational development, also serving as a liaison with our leadership team. The candidate must thrive in a dynamic, fast paced environment while balancing a mix of program, operational, and strategic responsibilities. They will play an important role in the business planning process and will have exposure to senior leadership within Prime Video . It is very important that this person engage and work well across all functional areas of the organization.

The ideal candidate will have proven executive-level communication skills. They must be organized, detail-oriented, have a knack for problem solving and enjoy helping others.

Key job responsibilities
• Identify and prioritize the working list of cross group collaboration opportunities
• Drive special projects or strategic projects, and drive execution, working with leaders and stake holders
• Identify efficiency opportunities and drive associated initiatives to improve performance and success of the organization
• Engage with finance, recruitment, HR, PR to drive broader org initiatives
• Assist leaders in the annual planning process, headcount allocation/tracking and recruitment tracking
• Manage key topics for staff discussions, strategic off-sites, and other important reviews

A day in the life
A successful candidate will effectively interact with team members across the organization and with other leaders to drive the business forward. They will obtain deep knowledge and expertise in large scale initiatives, and are expected to develop a broad understanding of activities across the organization. They will use their program management skills to identify, plan, and execute initiatives that drive organizational health.

About the team
The team’s mission is to deliver live content to Amazon customers. This involves interacting and onboarding sports media and metadata partners, managing workflows through the publishing process, and executing procedures to bring highly engaging sports content to Prime Video customers. In addition, the team works closely with others across Amazon to support the broader growth of our business, launching new features, developing and growing business opportunities, and enhancing our customer experience.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of program or project management experience
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills; proven ability to get results across multiple groups and disciplines
- Meaningful experience as a change agent and leading organizational change
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strategic thinker with highly developed analytical and critical thinking abilities. Able to help make design strategy and roadmap decisions
- Leads by example, create a sense of ownership, and personal commitment to work
- Strong bias for action and creates a sense of urgency when holding stakeholders accountable
- Strong self-initiative and persistence, ability to deal with a high degree of ambiguity and drive clarify in key areas of the business

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $104,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
