The Grocery Fulfillment Center (GFC) team is looking for a high caliber Program Manager to join the Change Management Office branch of the team! CMO is a centralized source of all new projects that are being proposed, vetted and approved for an individual site or network roll-out across multiple grocery FCs. Our goal is to provide a high level of visibility to our stakeholders, partners and leaders across the Org while protecting leadership bandwidth. The CMO process supports project owners in launching their projects strategically to achieve their goals, timelines and financial impacts while maintaining within their budget. We are dedicated to providing unified channels and mechanisms for partner teams to drive and manage changes without bureaucracy, where relevant stakeholders are informed at the right time to reduce communication churn and leaders can execute change quickly and easily.
As a Program Manager in the GFC CMO, you will play a crucial role in driving transformational changes across our grocery network. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to identify, validate, and implement best practices, while ensuring effective change management and continuous improvement. This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent stakeholder management, and the ability to drive results in a complex, fast-paced environment.
Key job responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Business Partnership
• Lead strategic analyses to guide executive decision-making, with particular emphasis on variable cost optimization.
• Partner with Finance to evaluate business challenges and develop data-driven recommendations that balance operational efficiency with financial performance.
• Conduct ad-hoc assessments to help leaders understand the financial ramifications of key decisions, especially those impacting project costs and resource allocation.
Project Leadership & Execution
• Own the full project lifecycle from inception to implementation of high-priority initiatives, ensuring swift delivery of time-sensitive business objectives while maintaining quality standards and stakeholder alignment.
• Create and maintain comprehensive project plans with clear milestones, deliverables, and success metrics
• Proactively identify and remove roadblocks to accelerate project completion.
• Monitor and report on project health, risks, and dependencies
Reporting & Analytics
• Develop and maintain scalable reporting that empower informed planning, accurate controllership, and clear visibility into key business drivers.
• Partner with finance teams to standardize, streamline, and prioritize improvements, remove roadblocks, and increase the reliability and efficiency of reporting
• Lead monthly variance analysis of project variable costs against planned values and actuals, identifying trends, cost drivers, and opportunities for optimization.
• Build and maintain project tracking systems and dashboards
• Create and maintain detailed project documentation and requirements
• Develop scalable solutions that utilize the highest standards of analytical rigor and data integrity.
- 2+ years of program or project management experience
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, operations, supply chain, transportation logistics
- Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL
- Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated experience managing complex, cross-functional projects
- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
- Experience building processes, project management, and schedules
- Experience with Lean principles, DMAIC methodology, and Kaizen programs
- Knowledge of retail or grocery operations
- PMP certification or equivalent project management certification
- Experience with change management methodologies
- Proven track record in process improvement initiatives
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI)
- Knowledge of MS Access and SQL
- Experience with coding to improve efficiency
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Experience working in fast-paced, metrics-driven environments

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
