The AWS World Wide Public Sector Federal Delivery Organization is seeking a AWS Task Order Manager (ATOM) to support our DoD business. This pivotal role ensures contractual delivery and facilitates business growth by managing a portfolio of task orders for AWS cloud services to government customers.
Based in the Herndon, VA/Washington Metro Area (WMA), you will join a team of program management and technical business development professionals. Your primary focus will be on shaping, responding to, and executing Task Orders for Military Service and Combat Support agencies. As an ATOM, you'll act as the Task Order level program manager, overseeing project execution and maintaining crucial communication channels with DoD customers.
This position demands expertise in project management, program management, and technical business development. You'll leverage your skills to incorporate technical requirements into commercial transactions, structure and close deals, and manage program activities in alignment with contract performance criteria. Success in this role requires a blend of information technology-centric project management, critical thinking, and analytical problem-solving skills, coupled with strong business development and executive communication abilities.
This position requires that the candidate selected be a US Citizen and currently possess and maintain an active Top Secret security clearance.
Key job responsibilities
• Manage customer task order life cycles for assigned DoD Agencies or Military Departments
• Coordinate with the AWS Program Manager, Deputy Program Manager, and Program Execution team to ensure accurate task order data reporting
• Support pre-award and RFx activities, partnering with Capture/Proposals, Business Contracts, and Account teams
• Lead post-award kickoff meetings and customer onboarding processes
• Manage financial aspects of task orders, including invoice reviews, funding level notifications, and financial reporting
• Oversee requirements and deliverables management, ensuring timely submission and documented acceptance
• Facilitate communication between customers and AWS stakeholders to review task order performance and execution
• Manage Government Furnished Property (GFP) for each task order as required
• Support contract closeout processes in collaboration with Business Contracts
A day in the life
• Reviewing task order performance metrics and preparing for daily reporting to the AWS Program Manager
• Participating in customer meetings to discuss task order execution and address any concerns
• Collaborating with the Customer Solutions Manager team on account setup and management tasks
• Analyzing customer spending patterns and preparing financial reports
• Coordinating with Business Contracts on Engineering Change Proposals or account transfers
• Reviewing and validating customer invoices
• Updating task order attributes and financial data in program management tools
• Engaging with capture teams to support ongoing RFx activities
• Facilitating internal stakeholder meetings to ensure alignment on task order requirements and deliverables
About the team
The Federal Delivery Organization provides Program Management and ensures delivery for our largest direct contracts with the Federal Government.

- 3+ years supporting programs under the National Industrial Security Program, and/or with the Department of Defense
- 3+ years of experience working across multiple business functions including capture, proposal, account teams, and technical delivery
- 3+ years of experience communicating with business, technical, and executive customers
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
- Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret or above
- Previous experience supporting customers in leveraging cloud technology
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to translate technical concepts to government executives
- Demonstrated ability to manage the capture and execution of a portfolio of multiple government contracts with a variety of customers
- Experience with JWCC or similar large-scale government cloud contracts
- Familiarity with DoD financial management processes and reporting requirements
